Civil War Days returns to Sunny Fortuna,
Saturday through Sunday, September 20 and 21, 2008
One of Northern California's favorite events is back in Fortuna! Civil War Days 2008 will host the Reenactors of the American Civil War (RACW). The event will take place in the "bowl" next to the Eel River and behind Fortuna's River Lodge Conference Center. The Rotary Club of Fortuna Sunrise is co-sponsoring the event..
Reenactors will present living history in a variety of ways...
Civil War Days will take you back in time and place to the American Civil War. Over two days, Reenactors will present living history in a variety of ways, from massive battles with cannon and rifle fire, to depictions of daily life in military camps, in refugee settlements and among the people who lived and died during the "War Between the States."

Admission $8 Adults and $2 for children.
Proceeds from the event go to Fortuna Sunrise Rotary’s community
projects and educational projects and living history of the local RACW.
